Wellington Hospital boasts the latest in linear accelerator technology, a new CT scanner, has a four year old Emergency Department, and is in the middle of building a new regional hospital which includes a major redevelopment of both the main Newtown site as well as the Kenepuru Community Hospital.  The Kapiti Health Centre was built just last year. Our adolescent, forensic, rehabilitation and intellectual disability mental health services are all housed in new, colourful, architecturally-designed buildings in semi-rural surroundings.

At Capital and Coast DHB we are very focused on improving the patient experience and have begun a patient journey programme to better integrate care from primary to tertiary and back to the primary sector.  This initiative will provide you with the opportunity to be at the forefront of new developments in health, whatever your specialty.
